Former professional Valorant player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo has reportedly started a new relationship with social media creator Kim Jiyoung, known online as @_kjy04, following his separation from longtime partner Kyedae Shymko.
The Canadian gaming star’s personal life has attracted renewed attention in 2026, particularly after he and Kyedae publicly confirmed the end of their six-year relationship and engagement.
Although fans have connected TenZ romantically with Jiyoung through online appearances and social media interactions, the exact beginning of their reported relationship remains unclear.
Here is what is publicly known about TenZ’s reported new girlfriend, his previous engagement and his relationship status in 2026.
Who Is Kim Jiyoung?
Kim Jiyoung is a social media creator associated with the Instagram handle @_kjy04.
She has attracted attention among Valorant fans because of her reported romantic connection with TenZ.
Unlike TenZ, whose professional gaming career made him internationally famous, Jiyoung maintains a comparatively low public profile.
Limited verified information is available about her age, education, occupation and family background.
Her social media presence has nevertheless generated interest among followers trying to learn more about TenZ’s life after his separation from Kyedae.
For now, Jiyoung remains better known within gaming discussions for her reported connection to the former esports professional than for a widely documented public career.
Are They Dating?
TenZ has been romantically linked to Kim Jiyoung, although the couple has not publicly provided a detailed account of their relationship.
Reports and fan discussions suggest the two became close around late 2025 or early 2026.
Their interactions on social media and reported appearances together during online broadcasts contributed to speculation about a romance.
However, online activity does not establish every detail of a personal relationship.
Neither the precise date they began dating nor the circumstances of their first meeting have been reliably established through a detailed public statement.
Their reported relationship has therefore attracted attention while leaving several questions unanswered.
When Did It Begin?
Some online discussions place the beginning of TenZ and Jiyoung’s reported relationship around December 2025 or January 2026.
That estimated timeline comes largely from social media observations rather than a confirmed announcement.
Fans reportedly noticed connections involving private accounts and appearances that suggested the pair were spending time together.
These details gradually circulated across gaming communities.
However, there is an important distinction between the date a relationship becomes visible online and when two people actually begin dating.
Without direct confirmation, the proposed timeline should be treated as an estimate rather than an established fact.
Who Is Kyedae?
Kyedae Shymko is a Canadian content creator and former fiancée of TenZ.
She became widely recognised through her Valorant streams, gaming content and appearances alongside TenZ.
Their relationship developed into one of the most familiar partnerships in the Valorant community.
Both built substantial online audiences while sharing selected aspects of their lives with followers.
Their relationship also progressed to an engagement, making their eventual separation particularly surprising for some supporters.
For several years, fans followed their careers and personal milestones together.
Their Six-Year Romance
TenZ and Kyedae were together for approximately six years before announcing their breakup in February 2026.
Their relationship began before both had reached some of their biggest milestones in gaming.
As TenZ gained recognition through professional Valorant competition, Kyedae established her own career in streaming and content creation.
Their shared interest in gaming helped make them a recognisable couple.
Over time, they appeared together in videos, streams and social media posts.
Their engagement represented a significant personal milestone, but the couple ultimately decided not to continue their relationship.
Why They Split
When TenZ and Kyedae confirmed their separation, they described it as a mutual decision.
Kyedae explained that they had grown apart and that their relationship had ended privately before the public announcement.
Their comments indicated that the breakup was not a sudden decision made in February 2026.
Instead, the announcement came after they had already spent time adjusting to their changed circumstances.
The former couple also discouraged speculation suggesting that one person was responsible for the relationship ending.
No verified public statement established infidelity or another specific wrongdoing as the cause.
The Breakup Timeline
The timing of TenZ’s reported relationship with Jiyoung became a subject of discussion because his breakup announcement with Kyedae came in February 2026.
However, the public announcement date was not necessarily the date their relationship ended.
Kyedae indicated that the couple had already separated before sharing the news with fans.
That distinction matters when examining claims about TenZ’s subsequent romantic life.
Without a confirmed private timeline, it would be inaccurate to conclude that the reported new relationship overlapped with his engagement.
The available information does not establish such a claim.
Social Media Clues
Much of the discussion about Jiyoung has originated from social media.
Fans have pointed to interactions between accounts, possible shared online appearances and connections involving private profiles.
These observations helped bring her name into discussions surrounding TenZ.
However, private accounts and brief online appearances do not provide complete information about a couple’s personal circumstances.
Neither person has publicly disclosed extensive details about their daily life together.
Consequently, many claims circulating online remain difficult to independently verify.
TenZ’s Gaming Career
Tyson Ngo, professionally known as TenZ, is one of the most recognisable players in Valorant esports history.
He first attracted attention through competitive Counter-Strike before becoming a leading Valorant player.
His career reached a major milestone with Sentinels’ victory at VCT Masters Reykjavík in 2021.
TenZ became widely admired for his precise aim, quick reactions and mechanical skill.
He later helped Sentinels win VCT Masters Madrid in 2024.
In September 2024, he announced his retirement from professional Valorant competition to focus on content creation.
His popularity has continued through streaming, gaming videos and online collaborations.
A More Private Romance
TenZ’s reported relationship with Jiyoung differs from his previous relationship in one important way.
Kyedae was already a prominent gaming personality, meaning both partners regularly appeared before large online audiences.
Jiyoung has a much smaller public profile.
As a result, information about the reported couple comes mainly from occasional online interactions rather than frequent joint appearances or interviews.
TenZ also appears to have shared fewer details about this chapter of his personal life.
That has not stopped supporters from discussing the relationship, but it has limited the amount of confirmed information available.
Relationship Status in 2026
As of October 2026, TenZ is publicly linked to Kim Jiyoung following his breakup with Kyedae Shymko.
The reported romance has attracted attention through social media, although its exact beginning and several personal details remain unconfirmed.
TenZ and Kyedae publicly announced their separation in February 2026, explaining that they had grown apart after approximately six years together.
For readers searching for TenZ’s new girlfriend, Kim Jiyoung is the creator most frequently identified in reports and online discussions.
While TenZ continues building his career as a gaming content creator, he has kept much of his reported new relationship outside the public spotlight.
